A Story by E
The mean guy came on here and then this guy bited his neck off and then this little guy came over and this guy ate his lip open. The little guy came flying over and he landed on him and he hurt himself. Then the stegosaurus came over and he whipped him with his tail. He said, “Let me have a ride on there.” He bit his mouth off. Now he ripped his head open. The End.
Now, on one hand I find this impressive. Although this was written by the teacher, she wrote it word for word from E's story. Clearly he has a good vocabulary. He has a pretty good sense of the English language. Good verb usage, not too shabby. It’s evident from reading this that E has a vivid imagination and a passion for drama, both super-duper qualities for a preschooler to possess.
One the other hand, crap! Violence and Mayhem! Blood and Guts! Horrible and Disgusting! Holy Crap Where Did He Come Up With This???
Really though, Ty and I just laughed. Maybe I should be worried. Maybe I should be saving up for military school. Truth is, I like E’s spunk.
I like his fiery disposition. I love to watch him get all fired up about things he’s interested in. This time it was dinosaurs and it happened to be bloody.
So what.
Wow! That is an impressive story for a three year old. He is going to be such fun to be with I would love to be there so he could tell me his stories.
