So I've recently begun the strange habit of picking up after myself. It seems that it really is true; if you clean up as you go there is a lot less to do on Saturday. If I wash our breakfast dishes after breakfast not only are there only 4 dishes, they're easy to clean without all that dried up cereal on them! Whodathunkit?
The problem is, now I'm running around like a chicken with my head cut off trying to clean up all over the place. I feel like a crazy person who can't STOP!
So the million dollar question is: countless tiny jobs throughout the day, or one huge mess only one day a week?

I don't think I am a reliable source for a good and well thought out answer on this.
My answer would be: Why clean at all? It's just going to get messy again in 5 minutes or less.
See? Told you. Not a person to ask these things of.

I pick up everyday and it looks great until the kids get home from shcool and then..back to clutter.
Oh well at least I'm content with the chaos control for about 4 hours each day.
Temporarily tidy vs perpetual tornado...I'll take the former.

I am finding that if I wipe the toilet seat down before I jump in the shower a couple days a week, I can go quite a while between deep cleans. What if I just keep everything in a state of Almost Clean or Clean Enough To Live With? :)
